Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinctive blend that combines soul jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway as well as at the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing piano and singing at church. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical education began in the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12, was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and is the mainstay of her live shows. The voice of hers was featured in the music video for The Fighting Temptations. She was named the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, invited her to serve as the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's 2008 inauguration.
